| Soma's 1st "Rig in the Making" AlbumThu, 20 Nov 2008 01:27:02 -0800 by soma1509Megaman fans, if you haven't played the X series for a while, today might be your lucky day! Go ahead and let the nostalgia sink in...Anyway, today, as I look back at my idiocy from building my rig from the ground up, I decided to scrap up a few of my pics and show them to all of you. It's not the greatest PC ever, but it's the best thing ever built by my hands.Plus, I'm really happy for the power supply I received, I guess I now know why Newegg has a reputation. Please feel free to comment. And as for how I got the megaman songs? It was an extreme hassle. I didn't really download them from good old google but I had to do some workarounds of that, so if you want the MP3's I'm sorry, but I do not have them. You're gonna have to be smart and use your ROMs...I mean, head...heheheh...Any ways, tell me how you like this collaboration of mine and I'll return the favor :)--The Rig itself--Case:XClio A380BKPower Supply (PSU):COOLMAX CUQ-1200B 1200WMotherboard:MSI p7n 750i SLI-FICPU:Intel Core 2 Duo E6850G0 SteppingVID 1.35RAM:2 OCZ PC2-5300 2GB @ 667MHzCD/DVD-ROMs:1 LITE-ON 20X DVD+R DVD Burner IDE1 ATAPI (or whatever it is) DVD Burner IDEHard Drives:1 WD Caviar 7200RPM 250GB1 WD Caviar 7200RPM 160GB1 WD Caviar 7200RPM 500GB1 Samsung Spinpoint 7200RPM 320GBAll set up in JBODTotal HDD space: 1.2 TB (1,200 GB)GPU(s):1 EVGA 9800gtxEVGA GPU:675MHz Core1688MHz Shader1100MHz RAM (2200MHz GDDR3 effective)Fan Controller:Zalman ZM-MFC2Sound Card:Auzentech HDA Xplosion 7.1 DTS Connect--Current Overclocks--CPU:4.00 5GHz Game & benchmark Stable with VCore around 1.60V (Vdroop Considered) and FSB VTT voltage up to 1.325V3.918GHz Prime95 24 hours stable with VCore around 1.52 (VDroop considered)RAM:978 MHz with 2.0V, timings of 5-4-4-15-2TGPU:803MH z Core2008MHz Shader1233MHz Memory (2466MHz GDDR3 effective)PCI-E Chipset:2600MHz = (104MHz) x (25x Bandwidth)Total fans: 104 Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm x 38mm fans at max RPM 3000+ blowing 133.6 CFM1 Enermax White LED fan blowing ~53CFM1 250mm fan on the front blowing ~93CFM1 140mm Scythe fan on the side panel blowing 100CFM1 80mm fan for the card exhaust2 PSU fans, 1 80mm and 1 135mmTemps: As seen on video :)Thanks for watching! | My Rig in the Making Part 7 - Ultra Kaze fans at max 3000RPM+!Sat, 04 Oct 2008 22:30:36 -0700 by soma1509The true definition of LOUD :)Yes, I do have 3 Ultra Kaze fans on my rig, 2 of them are clamped together at the back exhaust. When I tested it, I can literally feel some suction going on from the left side of the CPU heatsink!I have 2 more fans on the way, one of them, of course is ANOTHER ultra kaze, and the other is a White LED Enermax, just for show. Im gonna hook both the Enermax and the other ultra kaze up to the RIGHT side of my CPU heatsink, even though my CPU is cool enough as it is...but I want MORE!! Im sure it has been done before so I don't feel AS stupid...lol!For those interested, here are my DETAILED specs:--The Rig itself--Case: XClio A380BKPower Supply (PSU):PowerUp GEN-6803 800-Watt Power Supply Motherboard: MSI p7n 750i SLI-FICPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 G0 Stepping VID 1.35RAM: 2 OCZ PC2-5300 2GB @ 667MHz2 PNY PC2-5300 1GB @ 667MHzCD/DVD-ROMs: 1 LITE-ON 20X DVD+R DVD Burner IDE 1 ATAPI (or whatever it is) DVD Burner IDEHard Drives:1 WD Caviar 7200RPM 250GB1 WD Caviar 7200RPM 160GB1 Samsung Spinpoint 7200RPM 320GBAll set up in RAID 0GPU's:2 8800GT's in SLI (PNY and BFG)With Zalman VF-900 GPU Aftermarket coolers and RAM heatsinksBFG GPU: 625MHz Core1566MHz Shader900MHz RAM (1800 GDDR3)PNY GPU: 600MHz Core1500MHz Shader900MHz Memory (1800MHz GDDR3)Fan Controller: Zalman ZM-MFC2Sound Card:Auzentech HDA Xplosion 7.1 DTS Connect--Current Overclocks--CPU: 4.005GHz Game & benchmark Stable with VCore around 1.60V (Vdroop Considered) and FSB VTT voltage up to 1.325V3.9GHz Prime95 24 hours stable with VCore around 1.52 (VDroop considered)RAM: 828 MHz with 2.0V, timings of 5-5-5-15-2TGPU:729MH z Core1836MHz Shader1015MHz Memory (2030MHz GDDR3)PCI-E Chipset: 2600MHz = (104MHz) x (25x Bandwidth)Total fans: 133 Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm x 38mm fans at max RPM 3000+ blowing 133.6 CFM2 XCLio fans (1 140mm Green LED + and 1 120mm Blue LED). 140mm fan blowing ~83CFM; 120mm blowing ~40CFM1 Zerotherm 120mm fan (bottom, not shown on video) blowing 56CFM1 250mm fan on the front blowing ~93CFM1 140mm Scythe fan on the side panel blowing 100CFM1 80mm fan for the hard drivesOf course, the 2 VF-900 GPU coolers2 PSU 80mm fansTemps: As seen on video :)Thanks for watching!
