| Resistance 2 Action TrailerFri, 05 Dec 2008 06:58:42 -0800 by martynvkResistance 2 is a sci-fi first person shooter video game developed by Insomniac Games, published by SCEA, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.The game was released on November 4, 2008 in North America and on November 28, 2008 in Europe. The game is the sequel to the best-selling PlayStation 3 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man. As of November 29, 2008 Resistance 2 has sold 0.59 million copies worldwide.Resistance 2 sees protagonist Nathan Hale travel to the United States in order to once again battle the Chimera, who have launched a full scale invasion of both the east and west coasts. This time out Hale is part of a special task force of soldiers called "The Sentinels", who, like him, have survived mostly unchanged after being infected by the Chimeran virus.Resistance 2 features multiplayer in two variations: competitive and cooperative. Cooperative is actually a stand-alone campaign mode, with a story running parallel to the single-player campaign, except in this one mode, two through eight players online (or only two offline) are taking the role of a special forces group called Specter Team. These players are tasked with many randomized objectives around the map, while defeating hordes of AI Chimera and bosses in the process; the strength of the enemy forces are altered based on the number of players and their current skill levels. There are three classes to choose from: Special Ops - long-distance damage dealers, who also provide ammunition; Soldier - the "tanks" and damage soakers of the team; and Medics - who drain life from enemies and give it to teammates (for health does not regenerate in this mode).Competitive mode gives players the option of four game modes to choose from: Core Control (like Capture the Flag, except the player cannot shoot while carrying the core), Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, and Skirmish (objective-based battle.) Players are pitted against each other (Chimera vs. Humans). Players get to choose their starting weapon of choice anytime when respawning. The LAARK and Pulse Cannon are now available in the form of their own berserks. Maps for this mode have varying sizes and layouts for different game modes and player numbers. Up to sixty players can be on one map, setting the bar for highest number of players online in one game. Both multiplayer modes track the player's performance, gaining experience and leading to benefits and rewards, as well as assigning the player a skill ranking. | Fire Emblem 7 longplay - Chapter 20 part BFri, 05 Dec 2008 06:45:16 -0800 by Toothache42This is the fourty-seventh part of my Fire Emblem - Blazing Sword playthrough. In this part, Eliwood and party continue to clear out the bandits attacking the village. They move cautiously because of the darkness, often making steps forwards then back to ensure their own safety as well as that of the port of Badon. Bartre goes north to get the Elysian Whip, since bandits usually destroy that house early. I do my best to minimise the exp Bartre gets, since he is so much higher level than the others, he gains less exp from defeating enemies. He does take out the Poison Axe bandit since that was impossible for Hector to manage. Florina gets the Wyrmslayer, a very handy weapon for later on.Poison goes away after a few turns, as demonstrated on Hector. Also, it only does a small amount of damage. I start to build up Bartre/Raven support, but since it is 40 turns for a C rank, it will take some time to establish. Related: fire emblem blazing sword lyn eliwood hector | |

| Probotector 2 (EU) (Gameboy) - Level 3 Boss - The Easiest Boss Ever?Fri, 05 Dec 2008 06:28:44 -0800 by DeimosComaBlackReleased as Contra 2 everywhere else in the world, this has to be one of my all time favourite platform-shooters. Rock-hard with some very unforgiving moments, this is as good as they come. A game which really tested just how agile your thumbs were!Anywho, this vid is a very quick demonstration of just how blindingly easy it is to blitz the giant cyborg boss on Level 3, provided you have the right weapon. Forget the barrage of Spread or Homing powerups the game spews at you, just keep that Grenade shot handy! The Flamethrower works just as well (I think it may well kill him faster), but I'd inadvertantly picked up the damn homing shot just after killing the miniboss' second form, and had to make do with the Grenades instead. Curse you, missile blitz! I might upload a Flamethrower video at some point if the time-to-kill difference is noticable.Difficulty : Don't actually know. I used a password I remember randomly entering from 10+ years ago, but it's either on Hard or Pro as the basic enemies didn't simply drop dead on request; I had to shoot them quite a few times with the Homing Shot. For anyone wanting to play this, that random password is: F22JBe warned, as it doesn't exactly start you off with much!Enjoy! | Tomb Raider Underworld FULLFri, 05 Dec 2008 06:08:46 -0800 by srudenenashttp://deivix.shrcon sole.hop.clickbank.n et/?q=Tomb%20Raider% 20Underworld There's an impressive mix of locales in Underworld, and the environments boast greater scale than ever before. The underwater diving is incredibly atmospheric, and while there's often no indication of where you need to go, you won't mind swimming around the beautiful-looking abyss. There are also some great outdoor locations, and you'll race through vast temples, snowy mountains, and jungle environments. While Lara's bike looks and feels more like Batman's Tumbler than anything from the real world, it's much easier to use than the vehicles in previous games, and there are multiple routes that you can take. As the name suggests, though, this game features plenty of underground adventuring, and the sense of claustrophobia as you descend into these lost worlds is wonderfully conveyed. You won't come across an abundance of enemies in the game, but the ones that you do encounter are incredibly stupid. Human enemies will stand in front of you as you pummel them with gunfire, while the real-world and mythical beasts wait to emerge from the same spot every time. There's still no cover system in Tomb Raider, so you're left to go behind objects, run out to fire, and then repeat until you've dealt with the threat. It's incredibly fiddly when held up to the combat in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, but thankfully there's an ultra-powerful weapon toward the end of the game that eradicates the need to take cover completely. The whole weapon system is poorly balanced from the start--you choose one firearm at the beginning of each level, but if you check your inventory you'll find Lara has everything from pistols to an assault rifle into her tiny backpack. Thankfully, the tedious quick-time events have now disappeared completely, while Lara can kick enemies that get too close for comfort. Where Tomb Raider really challenges is in its puzzles, and while they may be formulaic, the sheer size of the environments means that they can take some time to figure out. They usually revolve around collecting keys or other items to activate mechanics in another part of the level, and while you will have to cover a lot of ground to solve them, they're all logically put together. It helps that Lara can now access a tips system from her PDA, with two levels of assistance available to clarify any befuddlement. Press the A button and Lara will give you a hint on what you need to do next; press Y and she'll be more explicit about your goal. The new map is less successful--Lara's expensive (and curiously waterproof) PDA provides a wireframe model of the current area you're in, but this is useless when trying to backtrack through numerous underground caves. | FFVI Boss #58 - Kefka (Part TWO)Fri, 05 Dec 2008 05:45:03 -0800 by VayneTheUndyingLocke - Lvl 61Relm - Lvl 59Mog - Lvl 54Sabin - Lvl 54NOTE: During Tier 3, you can steal a RAGNAROK from the "Lady" and ULTIMA WEAPON from the "Rest"! Don't forget! :PAt last! I have finally recorded Kefka! This battle is a long one, too. I did a horrible job in fitting this in one video, because I kept trying to steal the damn Ragnarok and Ultima Weapon on Tier 3, but whatever, this video will be in two parts.PS: I am just going to add the full description in here, even though there are two parts, and there is only tier 3 and 4 in this video. :PTier 1---------------Alri ght, this tier has the second best music out of every Kefka tier, but is the shortest. Bad combination. XDBasically, this is the nice easy start where you get to Reraise, and buff up your whole party before continuing to Tier 2, which is alot harder. Be sure to Reraise your party before Tier 2. You will see why later. Once it is done, then kill off tier 1, and get ready to fight Tier 2.Tier 2---------------This is where the battle starts getting hard, since this tier has 5 "parts" which use annoying attacks at death. Have Relm Dualcast Ultima + Ultima or Ultima + Quick, either one will do fine, but be sure to cast Curaga on the party when it needs healing (which it will often). Have Locke use X-Attack. Equip him with the Genji Gloves + Master's Scroll relics, and for the two swords, have Ultima Weapon + Excalibur/Ragnarok/L ightbringer (depending on whether you chose the Ragnarok esper or sword). Have Mog jump, with Dragoon Boots + Dragon Horn relics to make it even deadlier. Have Sabin use Phantom Rush, and buff up the party when needed. Once dead, parts will cast Dispel on some party members, and another will use 10-Hit Combo, which lands 10 attacks on random party members. Chances are, a party member or two WILL die (depending on your level), so make sure they are all Reraised!Tier 3---------------This is where you have to be careful. Nothing dangerous, but you can steal two AMAZING weapons in this tier! I attempted to go out of my way to steal these, but failed numerous times, and just gave up =P. But I recommend you do this anyway, because these weapons will help alot in Dragon's Den. Anyway, kill the "Lady" first, since she only has 9999 hp, and with her alive, it will be harder to kill the "Rest" due to the Lady using White Wind. So just cast Ultima, X-Attack, Jump, Phantom Rush, and voila.Kefka--------- ------This is it! The ACTUAL battle with Kefka, and it has AWESOME music!!He will start the battle out with Heartless Angel, which brings your entire party down to 1 HP! This is a nice time to use a Megalixer, since it will fully heal your party. Use a megalixer, and now you can be a little more peaceful, lol. Once you get his HP low enough, he says "The end draws near". This means that he is about to use an attack called Forsaken, which hits your party for non-elemental damage. This isn't that bad if you have high magic defense. Just have Locke X-Attack, Relm Dualcast Ultima, Mog Jump, and Sabin use Phantom Rush. He doesn't have TOO much hp, but if you are a low level, this battle may take a while. Just make sure your magic defense is high, and you'll be fine.
