It converts the music amplitude to an 8bit value... The PC outputs DMX512 over USB to RS485 (DMX) via an FTDI232 chip...The differential rs485 signal is received by the ATtiny2313 and the relevant channel data is applied to an 8 channel soft PWM routine... The mosfet is an irf530 with 100 volts and 14A max specs. You can use any n channel mosfet, depending on your application. By the way im using this for my scooter honda dio.
