Jose was graciously enough to come up to Oregon and train with my club. I personally wish to thank him for his time and his dedication to the sport of Schutzhund. I would also like to thank the entire Rogue Valley Schutzhund Club for their time and effort in making the seminar go so smoothly. I would also like to thank Emily Carte for her helper work, not only with my dog but also everybody else who participated. The first day we worked on keeping Dante focused on the helper without deviating towards me when I came into sight. With the help of Jose handling the long line we also worked on staying clean in the bark and hold and also some control work. The second day we worked on confidence building by utilizing a small concrete structure and allowing him to do the bark and hold in a strange location, later that day we introduced the first steps in teaching the side transport. That afternoon we put in back into the blind and worked again on focus towards the helper and staying clean, after that we worked on the escape and the out from a distance. Often we forget that Schutzhund is a team sport, almost nobody gets to the podium without the help of a strong club and a talented helper. I am honored to have the people in my club and those in the sport who have helped me reach my goals, because with out their help none of this would be possible.
