| Good SNES Music: Albert Odyssey - part 1/2Thu, 04 Dec 2008 02:25:53 -0800 by DarkgreenOrangeAlbert Odyssey is an excellent strategy RPG from Sunsoft that uses a hexagonal grid and Mode 7 graphics, combined with some more conventional RPG elements. Naoki Kodaka has composed a brilliant, epic soundtrack that has stayed relatively unknown. The only exposure Albert Odyssey has gotten outside of Japan was a side-story on the Saturn translated to English by Working Designs. There is no fan translation of the Super Famicom titles as far as I know, but I would definitely look forward to one if it were ever released. This first part covers themes you hear throughout the first few minutes of gameplay - the intro, the town theme, the player phase, game over, etc. The second part has a better variety spanning the rest of the soundtrack.Tracks:[0 :01] Memories of the Past[1:15] The Other Side of Reminiscence[2:24] An Offering to the Holy King Gort[3:36] Hometown Tibelis[5:16] On Holy Ground[5:56] Fine Goods[6:59] Song of Reposing Souls: Warrior's Headstone[7:26] The Road Walked by HeroesGame: Albert Odyssey (Super Famicom - 1993)Composer: Naoki KodakaSong names are from the soundtrack. | Super Probotector - The Alien Rebels - 2 Scottish playersSun, 30 Nov 2008 11:23:14 -0800 by DamaeOfFragmaPart 1/7A fun 2 player game of Contra / Super Probotector, on the Super Nintendo (SNES) with commentary. This game was a real showcase of the SNES's graphical abilities, making clever use of it's "Mode 7" scaling / rotational effects. It's also still, a very cool game, and very tough! especially the more harder difficulty levels, including an unlockable "ultra hard" difficulty. Good 2 player cooperation is essential for survival. | Sixsicksixes plays F-ZeroThu, 27 Nov 2008 00:45:17 -0800 by sixsicksixesThis is just a simple test to see if I can record some good game footage with NES/SNES era games.I play F-Zero, the first entry in my favorite racing game series of all time. I've always liked using the Wild Goose, and Mute City is the most memorable music you'll hear in the series. (Note the awesome remix in Brawl.) It may not be as good as GX, but damn was it an awesome tech demo for Mode 7 graphics. Related: f-zero |

| Chrono Trigger Music by Uematsu not Mitsuda??Mon, 27 Oct 2008 16:03:36 -0700 by videodoodlerThis is a second video showing a PSX version ending to the Square-Enix RPG, 'Chrono Trigger'. For those who appreciate such things, it is common knowledge that Yasunori Mitsuda composed the majority of the game's soundtrack, yet his name has been completely removed from ANY ending version in the PSX re-release. See the other video below for the Mode-7 version ending, where I compare the original SNES ending showing both Uematsu and Mitsuda credited under 'Music', and the PSX re-release where Mitsuda appears to have been removed. Surely this is a mistake??http://au.y outube.com/watch?v=i o3PWBLtcUQ Related: yasunori mitsuda chrono trigger nobuo uematsu game music videogame endings rpg |
