| Maryland Flames at Montrose Christian 12-02-08Tue, 02 Dec 2008 15:56:33 -0800 by trey39Team Rahman (Maryland Flames AAU 8U girls basketball) was invited to play a intra-squad game at half time of Montrose Christian's Annual Green/White Game.We were supposed to have a full 5 on 5 run but many of our girls were unavailable do to holiday travel so we ended up playing 3 on 3. Special thanks to Jordan Bartlett - basketball prodigy / phenom and older brother of our own Christa Bartlett (#21) - who stepped in and evened out the teams. Jordan (11 years old) is better than most high school ballers did his best to keep the ball moving and was told not to shoot 3's. :)Black: Aliya Rahman (#20), Christa Bartlett (#21), Jordan Bartlett (wearing #11)White jerseys: Keara Nathan (#4), Binta Ngy (#15), Dana Griffith (#11)Although our girls are used to playing tough competition in our AAU leagues and tourneys, this was the first time they got to play in front of a large audience and even had cheerleaders cheering for them!
