| TheTomFrom1979 28: T-Rev! CHINESE DEMOCRACYSat, 22 Nov 2008 02:15:21 -0800 by frivolitomI have quickly bought myself a copy of the new Guns 'n' Roses rekkid, The Chinese Democracy. I am now going to allow you all to share in my experiences of listening to said record for the first time! Or, that is to say, I am going to allow you to witness ten minutes of highlights of things I said into my computer while I listened to it.PLEASE NOTE, LAWYERS OF THE TALENTED W AXL ROSE, that while the album was playing in the room while I recorded this record, and while consequently your client's music may be distantly audible in fragmented artifacts on this clip, that I have made every effort to cover them with the minimalist stylings of New York Classicist Philip Glass. I have done this because I encourage interest parties to purchase your client's record for themselves. I did consider putting Metallica's "The Day that Never Comes" in the background of this clip, but while this would be hilarious meta-commentary, you can surely see why it would also be counter-productive.I 've listened to Chinese Democracy a few more times while editing this clip and I really, really like it. It's possibly my favourite album of the year, and being as there were albums by Craig Armstrong, Metallica and Unkle this year, that's pretty good.
