| I Want No Part...Sat, 22 Nov 2008 03:01:30 -0800 by tsumetashi22This is a video response to YokeUp's video titled "God's Children- It's a Private Party."Personally, I want no part in your religion or your beliefs, so you telling me I'm not invited isn't really all that damaging, in fact, I'm relieved. Besides, you're the one who believes in hell, go there yourself, you two-headed jack ass.And if there was any chance you might be right, any at all, in face of all of the evidence against your view and all of the evidence supporting mine, I would go with a smile on my face, as a happy atheist. It would be far more torment to have to spend eternity with unthinking idiots like yourselves. Besides, you know what they say..."Heaven for climate, hell for the company." -Mark TwainAs an atheist, I don't reject Yahweh, I don't believe in the concept of deity or the idea of gods, and I personally feel that all of your elitism will not only be a downfall, but will be for nothing. But if Yahweh was proven to be true, I wouldn't acknowledge him, nor would I acknowledge Yeshua (jesus), because of the horrible things their religion was used to justify, the horrible things written about in the bible. All attempts to tell me that Yeshua or Yahweh are anything but wrathe, malice, and heavilly prejudist, elitism just are just false advertising. You're part of a two-headed jackass, and you represent everything I hate about religion, especially the christian religion. Perhaps you say the things you do because you're both really that ignorant, that stupid. Perhaps you're afraid of people like me, and my worldview, the encroaching nature it has, the ever-sharpened blade that is Ockham's Razor, hacking your elitist beliefs to shreds, so you hide behind the bible, in your church, behind your YouTube persona, behind your insults, and you cling to what followers you can, to keep them from falling away; this is happening in increasing numbers as they see reason, and the futility in believing in fairy tales, as more and more of them realize the viewpoints of the freethought community aren't as frightening as they seem to think. You're afraid of this new era which is coming like a tsunami, and right now the waters are rumbling, churning, and just now beginning to rise. Go ahead, convince the people as best you can that they're no better than sheep or hell-fodder, cling to what you think is success, because in the end, all superstition dies, and the day is coming when christianity finally keels over and dies. 50% of the people under the age of 25 aren't christian. Already, the numbers are falling from your dark, twisted religion... Fuck you. Fuck you both, and your stifling, stumbling block of a religion. It's slowed the progress of our species long enough. It's time natural selection weeded it out.As far as your little metaphorical "party," and your disgusting, hateful religion, keep to yourself, because I want no part. http://www.skepticsa nnotatedbible.comhtt p://www.evilbible.co m Related: atheist agnostic christian caroline yokeup taoist freethought freethinker | |

| Honey Bee Population Dying OutSat, 22 Nov 2008 01:09:42 -0800 by NTDTVCHAN: British beekeepers are alarmed at the rapid decline of the honey bee population. They are calling on their government to help fund much needed research. They claim the world's food supply is at risk.STORY: Scientists are alarmed over the mysterious and rapid delcine of the honey bee population. And experts fear this could cause great harm to the world's agriculture. [Father Francis Capener, National Honey Fair]:"They pollinate so many different plants and if they weren't doing that work, we wouldn't be having any fruit. It just wouldn't be there."Genetically modified crops, climate change, pesticides and modern farming techniques have all been blamed for making bees vulnerable to parasites, viruses and other diseases. [Dr. Dewey Caron, Honey Bee Expert]:"Climate change, plants blooming at an earlier time, being affected by levels of pollution, but we think, or we know, that something is also happening to bee colonies, they seem to have a heavier dosage of some of the pathogens, the things that kill them, diseases that kill them including viruses, and we're trying to figure out why this is the case." British beekeepers lobbied the government for more research funding. According to the president of the British Beekeepers Association, one third of Britain's bee colonies have been lost in the last year.[Tim Lovett, British Beekeepers Association]:"Basica lly, because there's such a benefit to the nation, to our agriculture and horticulture, it's clearly a job for government to come up with something and so far they've just worked around the edges." The European Parliament was expected to cast a vote yesterday to call for more research and to recommend the European Union to take the matter seriously. Related: ntd ntdtv news | |

| Poop at the Zoo: Bronx Zoo Eco RestroomsFri, 21 Nov 2008 19:46:12 -0800 by vanessaraevideoWhat's the scoop on poop? This video takes you to the Bronx Zoo's new Eco Restrooms, where each flush gives back to the earth thanks to hyper-efficient water recycling renovations. Host Vanessa Rae checks out how the zoo's new bathrooms take freshening up into the future with recycling systems that help you waste less water and use fewer materials. Between gray water reused as fertilizer and rainwater collection for irrigation, the surrounding gardens have plenty to grow on. And we meet zoo administrators who have jumped at the chance to use the restrooms to teach kids about water use and climate change. And their message seems to be sinking in; we talk to one little girl who took the message to heart after being dazzled by the facilities! No one's worrying about potty mouths here. It's time to stand (or sit) up straight and be proud of what you have to offer the planet. Related: green environment eco host vanessa rae sustainable living | |
