This is a 2003 Evo that has seen a few different combinations over the last few years. We just finished upgrading the car to a 3582HTA for more response and midrange. The new owner of this car requested that we do a racegas tune to see what we could get out of it. We spent an afternoon tuning the car and came away with some terrific numbers. In retrospect, the stock wheels and snow tires may not have been all that condusive to getting a good chassis dyno number! I'm not sure we should have wound those tires up in 4th gear on the dyno as the tire speeds were definately getting up there! At any rate, we came away with 750awhp on the smaller FP3582 HTA. | shootout 2008 DSE semifinalsSat, 20 Dec 2008 11:32:23 -0800 by pumpgasgsx2008 Dsm eliminator semi finals. I had this run but blew it. Out tree'd and out 60ft my competitor by a LOT. Hand slipped off the 20psi boost limiter on the launch and busted the ring/pinion. I fed back into the throttle but the gears were grinding so bad it robbed all my power. Car was running out of fuel top of 3rd gear and set boost at 22psi for 1st/2nd gear to prevent drivetrain breakage. Had to light throttle it/coast through fourth.
