| How to Lose Friends & Alienate People ( part 2 )Thu, 08 Jan 2009 23:07:04 -0800 by Fisho815Sidney Young, a smalltime, bumbling, British celebrity journalist, is hired by an upscale magazine in New York City. In spectacular fashion Sidney enters high society and burns bridges with bosses, peers and superstars. After disrupting one black-tie event by allowing a wild pig to run rampant, Sidney catches the attention of Clayton Harding, editor of Sharp, and accepts a job with the magazine in New York City. Clayton warns Sidney that he'd better impress and charm everyone he can, if he wants to succeed. Instead, Sidney instantly insults and annoys fellow writer Alison Olsen. He dares to target the star clients of power publicist Eleanor Johnson. He upsets his direct boss Lawrence Maddox and tries to make amends by hiring a stripper to dance for Lawrence during a staff meeting. Sidney, of course, doesn't stop there, finding creative ways to annoy nearly everyone. His saving graces: a rising, sexy starlet develops an odd affection for him, and in time, Alison whose friendship with him might be the only thing saving Sidney from torpedoing his career. | BlogTV Fixes 16-9Thu, 08 Jan 2009 22:42:12 -0800 by vclamp"16 Things to Fix about BlogTV" 15+1=16, okay, but I FINALLY got it finished! Graphic summary: http://tinyurl.com/9 rsav71) Users should be able to copy from the message box that is above the chat. Links would be even better. 2) The audio feed should stop when the room is exited, or the feed is refreshed.3) Viewers must be able to adjust volume from individual sources.4) The CoHost window should be completely into the corner with the word 'Connected' reduced in size and lowered. Viewers should be able to move the CoHost window to at least the other side.5) Viewers must not have the option for red text, and OPs must not have the option for bold red text. More color options could be added. 6) A Host can select to NOT be featured on the home page.7) On the viewers menu, names should be as fully displayed as possible. There needs to be at least 5 pixels of space between buttons. The buttons must be rearranged in an ergonomic manner that clearly separates positive, neutral, and negative actions while placing the rare actions to the far outside. 8) The actions of Kick and Ban should be able to be undertaken directly from the chat even after the viewer has exited. The selected viewer name must stay highlighted once selected.. 9) Friends and OPs can be assigned as Standing OPs. Standing OPs whose persistent status would solve the hassle of reOPing that comes with the chronic refreshing, and to moderate the room when there is an absence of the Host.10) The host should be able to assign a single Lead OP, standing or not, who can act with nearly the same scope as the Host. A Lead OP could ban with an asterisk for later review by the Host, Lead OP could start, stop, and title recording of shows, and could PM anyone in the room set to Do Not Disturb.11) Assigning a Standing OP or Lead OP should be possible without that member being online.12) A viewer who has voluntarily left the chat should still have their name appear for 60 seconds. The list must not be reordered. It would help to improve identification and subsequent actions if the following were implemented; a User Status symbol of the medium grey with the check or an 'X' for a voluntary exit, a symbol of dark grey with a 'K' for a Kicked viewer, and a symbol of dark grey with a 'B' for a Banned viewer. The OP who Kicked, Banned, or the Host would be able to undo actions. These would greatly reduce erroneous kicks.13) A member can select to never be OPed without confirmation, and they can remove them self from OP.14) The auto-Kick sensitivity should be adjustable to the order of 3 repeats per 60 seconds.15) A feed refreshing button should be easily available as it is needed regularly. Anything that is 'RE'done is cyclic and thus a circular icon would be intuitive.16) The Playground should not include autoplay as the controls are often not accessible, and it interferes with the live broadcasts which are the purpose of BlogTV.
