| Me and My Monkey Shoveling SnowWed, 07 Jan 2009 23:48:53 -0800 by moteevThis was shot on Christmas Eve during one of the heaviest snow seasons to hit Washington State in a long long long time. I wanted to make a comedy type music video that stared one of my favorite animals, The monkey. I did not have a real monkey so I improvised. I also wanted to work on shooting multiple angles and just a simple story idea of me and my monkey shoveling snow on christmas eve to help people walk on the public sidewalks. | AVCHD (.m2ts) files converted to WMVTue, 06 Jan 2009 20:28:07 -0800 by sohcneondriverThe only way I have found to convert my AVCHD files to anything else is to burn to a DVD with the software included with the camera (Pixela imagemixer, which my computer is just a little to slow to use for editing these HD files) and then use a DVD ripping program to get it back off the dvd in some other format, such as WMV, which I can edit with any old program, like Windows Moviemaker. To convert its compressed video files (which is not playable/readable in any common video players in PC or Mac) into common video format such as WMV, H.264, MP4, MPEG-2, etc., I use the Corel DVD Copy 6 Plus video converter software?which is able to read/extract AVCHD raw video files. For video editing...I use the Microsoft Windows Vista Movie Maker. It's awesome! with HD video and Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
