| Pacers vs. Suns 1/7/09 GAME RECAP (Granger Game Winner)Wed, 07 Jan 2009 22:41:43 -0800 by NBASeason2009Granger's nails a three at the buzzer to down the Suns 113-110.PHOENIX (AP)?The Indiana Pacers are making a habit of beating the NBAs elite teams, and Danny Granger is making a habit of scoring big.Granger hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer and matched his career high with 37 points in Indianas 113-110 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. With the score tied and 0.9 seconds left, Mike Dunleavy inbounded the ball to Granger and he connected, thwarting a furious Phoenix comeback. It was the third straight game that Granger scored at least 35 points. He had 35 and 36 in his previous two games. The win ended Indianas seven-game losing streak to the Suns and prevented Phoenix from posting its first four-game winning streak of the season.Despite a 13-22 record, Indiana has beaten the Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics and now the Suns. With Granger holding the hot hand throughout the game, the final play was designed for him.It was exactly what we drew up, Dunleavy said. We went to the first option and Danny was the main option and he just stepped back there and drilled it. It was a great shot by him. To win a game like that is like a cherry on a sundae.Granger agreed with Dunleavy on the play provided by coach Jim OBrien.Coach drew up a great play, Granger said. We ran some people around and I ran away and I popped to the top and got a good look. When I got that open look, I let it go. Im always confident its going in the hole. I got two screens and made the shot. This is a big momentum-builder for us.Granger tied it at 110 with a 20-foot jumper from behind the key with 34.9 seconds remaining. The Suns had taken the lead for the first time on Leandro Barbosas 3-pointer with 45.4 seconds left.Dunleavy scored 14 points for the Pacers in his first game this season. Stephen Graham had 13, Troy Murphy 12, Jarret Jack 11 and Rasho Nesterovic 10.Amare Stoudemire led Phoenix with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Grant Hill and Barbosa had 18 apiece, Steve Nash and Jason Richardson added 16 each, and Louis Amundson had a career-high 14 rebounds and nine points. Nash also had 12 assists. We havent had much luck with last-second shots, game-winners, walk-off game-winners this year, Suns coach Terry Porter said. We seem to be snake-bitten.Porter said the Suns lack of communication on the final play was costly. We talked about switching everything and somehow we had two guys going with the curl guy (under the basket), and he (Granger) popped, Porter added. Steve (Nash) saw him and popped out, but we just didnt do a good job communicating. Granger made a heck of a shot.Shaquille ONeal, the Suns starting center and one of their leading scorers and rebounders, missed the game with back spasms. It was the first game the 7-foot-1, 325-pound ONeal sat out with an injury this season. He had missed five previous games, including three on the first night of back-to-backs.The Pacers also were playing short-handed, missing starting guards T.J. Ford (sore lower back) and Marquis Daniels (strained left groin).Phoenix got off to a miserable start, hitting one of its first 12 shots in the first 7:44 and Indiana took advantage. Granger scored 19 points in the first half, including three 3-pointers, and the Pacers built a 42-27 cushion in the second quarter. But the Suns, behind Stoudemire, battled back and reduced the deficit to 61-57 at halftime. Stoudemire finished the half with 17 points, including 9-of-9 shooting from the foul line.Phoenix Suns' Amare Stoudemire (1) drives past Indiana Pacers' Troy Murphy during the fourth quarter of an NBA basketball game Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in Phoenix. The Pacers won 113-110.Phoenix Suns' Amare StoudemireAP - Jan 7, 11:48 pm ESTAmundson came off the bench and provided a spark for the Suns. He ended the half with 11 rebounds to equal a career best?eight on the offensive boards. He also had nine points.Dunleavy, who had been sidelined all season with an ailing left knee, helped the Pacers with eight points. The Pacers capitalized on ONeals absence underneath, scoring 30 points in the paint in the first half. At that time, their three big men?Roy Hibbert, Jeff Foster and Rasho Nesterovic?had combined for 13 points and 10 rebounds.Indiana came out sizzling in the third quarter, and with Murphy connecting on four 3-pointers, padded its advantage to 16 points twice. This time, the Suns did not respond as well as in the first half, trimming the lead to 95-86 after the period. Only 10 points by Richardson in the quarter kept the Suns relatively close. | Mckeesport police talk to Screaming Lady Make Her Victim Say Don't Worry About It To Her They Are On The Screaming Lady Taking Sides! MOV08772Wed, 07 Jan 2009 21:59:28 -0800 by greencarpet777Here's the evidence, from the lady police want to allow to get away with bad behavior. She tells how the McKeesport police are on her side. They told her not to worry about it, they called the Christian Family crazy (and they heard them on day) -The dad to the Praying Child got a ticket for the child actually being harassed! Evil paid for God and Good. Family are being condemned without evidence, only police say so, this lady tells it loudly! All evidence points to a conspiracy of Mckeesport police helping her. We have the evidence of the call, and police checking (On-View) on ticket of something clearly not on video! There may be a lawsuit coming up against Mckeesport, they will need to drop all against the innocent dad without a criminal history because he will speak out, no matter what. He heard the police calling him crazy to the screaming lady, and was witnessed by family members in a window and heard by others! Lt. Craig made a big deal about the parking pointing to the Christian families car, and the judge at case against screaming lady stated parking was all legal and proper! Judge Riazzi did find screaming lady to be the only one out of hand in court however and tell her that in court. Evidence of her husband calling names to the Christian grandmother on arrival from church (Fat Pig video) is on here now as well. The father is not afraid of punishment, because the conspiracy against him needs to stop! The state police may need to take over. Witnesses hear Lt. Craig calling the family crazy, and its all going to come out in the wash. A lie detector test from only a trusted source will be accepted from the family. The Christian family will more than likely have a lawyer, and several already know the entire scenario. The dad won custody of his son many years ago, and that son is a very decent well mannered, albeit active child. He is God fearing and loving, the fruit does not fall far from the tree. A church they attended chose him to inspire the teenagers in the tutoring program two years back. There is video of that as well, and the teacher, and professionals in positions all agree. Regardless of anything accused falsely to the dad, even should they be true in theory, that all they witnessed is definitely wrong to happen to the family. They fear no man, because it is a Christian principle, they love people and everyone knows them well and knows all this completely. They have friends in Beulah Park church, and used to be on TV televised of church sermons. They went to several churches, and met many people, they spoken to the mayor of Mckeesport in person several times to no avail! Whatever is thought to be wrong of them, is definitely wrong here by all indication of ACTUAL EVIDENCE! You decide, hear say of police and her whom she lied to Riazzi in actuality about all on video displayed clearly here, or the evidence here in plain sight and sound. They did not want to view it, now its on here for all the world to see, that is the simple educated reason. They could have stopped this all, but they prospered evil and wrong doing. Fines, punishments, nothing can now halt nor hinder the truth. God's will be done! "Three years ago cops promised to take care of these" pigs? Three years ago they moved in, so day one a conspiracy against an innocent Christian family! Everyone knows and is waiting to hear how case goes, including the DA, and the FBI were called by the family. They all have evidence in hand and is verified to be in they're hands. Mckeesport made the map, and others now know the truth. Yell at them, promise jail, they're family been terrorized and the police helped, don't matter now. by the way, the chief of police never called them. Let the head council member know if you can talk to them. The lady was an attacker to the elderly lady, the elderly lady is the only holder of a valid hospital report June 26, 2007. The friends of the family had her baby partly due to the incident, baby pictures are had! After they attacked the elderly lady she made effort to get to see baby and celebrate the birth!, giving friend this lady, the actual agressor with five other people at they friends house! Do not be surprised if the witnesses speak out and the police have a hardship they caused on they're hands! | News - Storm after the lull- fighting rages in Gaza - January 8, 2009,Wed, 07 Jan 2009 21:24:18 -0800 by jakojako777newStorm after the lull: fighting rages in GazaIsrael has resumed shelling Gaza after a pause to allow aid agencies to deliver humanitarian supplies to Palestinians. It comes as diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire gather pace.To see how ordinary people in Gaza are coping, follow the linkDespite the renewed bombardment, the Israeli army has agreed to cease operations for three hours a day for aid deliveries. These are the terms of the recently-agreed humanitarian corridor deal.During Wednesdays fighting, Israeli attacks killed a dozen Palestinians in Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas fired some twenty rockets into Israel. While the Israeli government welcomed a ceasefire proposal from Egypt and France, it attached conditions. It said there must be a complete end to rocket attacks against Israel and an arms embargo must be imposed on Hamas. Hamas, in turn, demanded the Gaza's border crossings be reopened.Israel is said to be considering the third phase of its operation, which will see its troops moving into more populated areas to target Hamas militants.Earlier, UN officials said that at least 40 people, including children, have been killed in an Israeli strike on a United Nations-run school in Gaza. The attack in the north of the region is the single most deadly incident since Israel began its offensive 11 days ago.The UN has confirmed that 55 others injured when Israeli tanks shelled the area near the school.Palestinian medics say the building was being used as a shelter for Palestinians fleeing the fighting.Israeli officials say Hamas militants had earlier launched mortar fire from the school.According to Palestinian sources, 688 have been killed and more than 3,000 wounded in Gaza since Israel began its offensive 11 days ago. At least 195 children have been killed. The Israeli military say it has killed around 130 Palestinian militants since their ground invasion began three days ago, but local doctors say many of the casualties are civilians.Israel has confirmed the loss of 8 soldiers so far, with four allegedly killed accidentally by their own side.Israeli attacks unite enemies While diplomatic moves have been gathering momentumin Gaza, the atmosphere is the West bank is very different. Here there is no shooting, no tanks, no violence. But Hamas member Razi Ashur says that his thoughts are never far from the events unfolding in Gaza.Ashur says hes ready to join his brothers in Gaza at any moment and just waiting for the order.Yes, there was fighting before between Hamas and Fatah, but today we are all one against our enemy Israel, he said. Sometimes you find two brothers fighting each other, but still, by the end of the day, they are brothers. One year ago the streets of the city were on fire - but not because of the Israelis. The brothers from Hamas and Fatah were killing each other for control of Gaza. It ended with a Hamas victory - and thousands of Fatah supporters fled to the West Bank for refuge.Today, however, Jerichos Fatah leaders say theyve returned to Gaza to fight the Israelis. It is very bad what is happening in Gaza. We wanted to make peace with Israel but now we dont want to, Fatah supporter Hassan Abdullah said.If the situation continues, I am ready to go fight with hamas against Israel. I think Israel wants to make problems between Hamas and Fatah. Many in the West Bank believe there are deals being made behind the scenes between Mahmoud Abbas, leader of the Palestinian Autonomy, and the Israelis. But Fatah members are too afraid to express their opinion on camera. Not so with Israeli peace activist Uri Avneri. Not only Mahmoud Abbas but President Mubarak of Egypt and several other Arab states are almost openly collaborating with the Israeli attack, hoping to gain some advantage for themselves, he said. I think they are playing a very dangerous game for themselves because the fury accumulating among the masses of Palestinians, including Arab citizens of Israel and the Arab masses throughout the Arab world, is intense.Still, Israelis are not worried about violence in the West Bank - at least for now. Theyre afraid of a second front erupting along their northern border with Lebanon. In the last few days the Lebanese army and the United Nations increased patrols to prevent missiles being fired into Israel by Hezbollah fighters. | Question Of The Week (Good vs Bad Kisser)Wed, 07 Jan 2009 21:00:16 -0800 by TheReaLifeShowShiraz and guest co-host EsCee review 5 top attributes for a good kiss:The ReaLife's Top Five Things For a Good Kiss...1. Closed Eyes2. Easy On The Spit3. Just Enough Tongue Speed4. Juicy Lips5. Tons of Emotion Agree? Disagree? "Kissing doesnt always come from the heart. Its better if it does but that is not the case most times. A kiss can sometimes ignite feelings, replace words, and erase fears. That kind of kiss separates a great a kisser from a good kisser. A good kisser is a confident person, who isnt living inside their own head during the kiss, but rather in the moment that the kiss is happening."-AfroChic Related: question of the week good vs bad kisser shiraz escee the realife show real life | |

| LeBron James vs Detroit Pistons 25 points 6 rebounds 6 assists 4 steals November 19 2008Wed, 07 Jan 2009 20:52:17 -0800 by thelebronjamesblitzAUBURN HILLS, Mich.(AP) The Detroit Pistons are starting to show their potential with Allen Iverson, beating two of the NBA's best teams in less than a week.Iverson scored 23 points, and Rasheed Wallace had 10 of his 21 points during a fourth-quarter surge that gave Detroit a 96-89 victory over Cleveland on Wednesday night that ended the Cavaliers' eight-game winning streak.Detroit handed the Los Angeles Lakers their only defeat, beating them by double digits Friday night on the road."It's early, but it's exciting,'' Iverson said.Wallace wouldn't go that far."It's not like we set out and said, `Oh, these are the NBA's hottest teams.' We're just trying to make ourselves better,'' said Wallace, who had a season-high 15 rebounds. "We really don't care about what the other teams are doing at that moment."We just want to make ourselves better for June.''If the Pistons can keep playing tough defense against stars, as they did against LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, they'll improve their chances in the playoffs.James was 8-of-21 and missed all four of his 3-point attempts, but made enough free throws to finish with 25 points to fall just five below his league-leading average."That happens in this league,'' he said. "You have good games and bad games.''Bryant missed 18 of 30 shots last week against the Pistons. The Cavs are a half-game ahead of the Pistons in the Central Division.Detroit lost its first two games after acquiring Iverson from Denver on Nov. 3, but has won four of its last five."It's way too early to know anything about them,'' James said.It looked as if the Cavs were going to beat Detroit the first time they saw them with Iverson, going on a 21-6 run to take the lead in the first quarter and taking 13-point leads in both the second and third. But Wallace gave the Pistons the lead for good midway through the fourth with a pair of 3-pointers in a 36-second span and made another long jumper to give them a 95-82 lead with 2 1/2 minutes left."Sheed hit those long 3s and AI did a great job of getting to the hole,'' James said. "They really turned it up in the second half, and it caught us off guard.''His coach agreed."They played a great second half and we didn't respond,'' Cavs coach Mike Brown said. "It was like a bunch of their players got together at halftime and said 'Let's bear down and take this game away from the Cavaliers,' and that's just what they did. They brought us to a complete standstill."That's the first time I've seen us that discombobulated all year.''Detroit's Richard Hamilton scored 15 points, reserve Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince each added nine points. Cleveland's Mo Williams scored 25 points, Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 13 points and Delonte West added 11. Related: lebron james vs detroit pistons 25 points rebounds assists steals november 19 2008 | |

| 'Pak free to seek access to Kasav'Wed, 07 Jan 2009 19:14:44 -0800 by timesnowonlineAfter over a month of being in denial, Pakistan on Wednesday (January 7) finally agreed with India on one matter -- the fact that the lone surviving terrorist of the Mumbai attacks, Ajmal Kasav, is a Pakistani national. Welcoming the development, New Delhi has now told Islamabad it is free to seek access to its man. The Pakistani government will now have to take a decision on Kasav's demand for legal aid from the Pakistani government. Just a fortnight ago, TIMES NOW had reported that Kasav had written a letter where apart from admitting to being a Pakistani, Kasav made an appeal for legal aid and asked his country for his partners to be given a proper burial. | TAYLOR LAUTNER IS GOING TO BE IN NEW MOON!Wed, 07 Jan 2009 18:58:39 -0800 by LoveeSarahhTaylor Lautner(hotner) will be in New Moon.Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer. The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.very bestChris WeitzI'd just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon?what was going to give us the best possible movie. I'm truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he's going to bring to Jacob's character this year.- Stephheres the link to her website :http://www.stepheni emeyer.com/thank you everyone who signed the petition to keep taylor lautner as jacob black. and to summit entertainment, stephanine meyer and everyone else. lovee,sarahhP.s. | Israel resumes deadly Gaza attacksWed, 07 Jan 2009 18:22:05 -0800 by ArchivesAlgeriennesViolence has resumed in the Gaza Strip after a three-hour halt to attacks Israel termed a "humanitarian respite".The brief lull allowing Gaza's beleaguered residents to look for food and fuel was also followed by news that Ehud Barak, the Israeli defence minister, had been given the green light by the security cabinet to order a deeper offensive into Gaza towns as part of its stated aim to halt Hamas cross-border rocket attacks.Ehud Olmert, the Israeli prime minister, chaired the security cabinet meeting in Jerusalem which "approved continuing the ground offensive, including a third stage that would broaden it by pushing deeper into populated areas," a senior defence official said. The final decision will be left with Barak, the official added.Israel has warned thousands of people in the Rafah zone on the Egyptian border to leave their houses ahead of planned air strikes."You have until 8am [06:00 GMT]," on Thursday, said leaflets which were dropped by the Israeli military. At least 700 Palestinians, including 219 children, have died in Gaza since Israel began its assault on December 27, and that number continues to climb. More than 3,080 people have also been wounded.Seven Israeli soldiers and three civilians have died in the same period.Soon after the three-hour lull on Wednesday, an Israeli air raid on a car in Beit Lahia, near Gaza's northern border with Israel, killed three children and their father, who was described as a civilian by medical workers in the besieged strip.Temporary lullPalestinians and aid workers in and around Gaza City had used Wednesday's brief respite to recover dead bodies, treat the wounded, and gather much-needed supplies in and around Gaza City.Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, announced "offensive" military action across the strip would be suspended for three hours every alternating day, although the timings may vary.Despite this, Israeli air raids were reported on other parts of the Palestinian territory during Wednesday's announced timeframe of 1pm-4pm (11:00GMT).Most of Wednesday's clashes occurred in northern Gaza, with explosions reported in Jabalya and Beit Lahia. In Gaza City, four people were killed and seven injured outside a Mosque in the Sheik Radwan neighbourhood. Two people were also killed earlier when the Zeitoun district was targeted from the air.Further south, air raids hit the towns of Khan Younis and Rafah, where over 20 houses were destroyed. No Israeli injuries have been reported on Wednesday after around eight rockets were fired from Gaza into southern Israel.Israel is facing mounting pressure to agree a ceasefire after an attack on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Unrwa) in the northern town of Jabaliya on Tuesday left 43 Palestinians dead and around 100 wounded.Doctors said all the dead were either people sheltering in the school or residents of the nearby Jabalya refugee camp.Israel claims missiles were fired from the UN building and that their troops were simply returning fire.Around 15,000 Palestinians have had to flee the fighting so far, but have found few safe havens, as Israel and Egypt continue to largely keep border crossings shut.Heba, a Gaza resident and mother of two, told Al Jazeera there was no place left in Gaza that can be considered safe. "What happened in the school was a hugely offensive and inhumane thing. We never expected that people who sought refuge in a UN building would be attacked and killed," she said. While earlier attempts to agree a ceasefire resolution at the UN have so far floundered, a French-Egypt proposal appears to be gaining some support. The deal, which could include stationing international monitors at the Egyptian-Gaza border, has received qualified backing from the US and support from Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president and leader of Hamas-rival Fatah.
