Was testing to see any visible drops in UT3 with fraps set to 30 FPS and the game itself completely maxed out at a 16:9 ration (1600x900) resized when encoded to 1280x720.I put 31 bots in a map called whiterealm or something. This was nothing but a stress test. | Fenix L2D: The Everything TorchWed, 07 Jan 2009 02:23:09 -0800 by nutnfancyThe slim Fenix L2D Premium Q5 flashlight just rocks. Weighing in at only 3.2 ounces with Lithium batteries, the L2D throws out a lot more light than most would expect from a AA power source. It incorporates the new technology I spoke to in my "Shedding Some Light" video (http://www.youtube. com/watch?v=NfQ3Ghbn 1R4). Despite using these easy-to-find ubiquitous power cells, this light cranks out some impressive brightness levels and run times: low power at 12 lumens: 55 hrs, med at 53 lumens: 105 hrs, high at 107 lumens: 4 hrs, SOS/Turbo mode at 180 lumens: 2.4 hrs. This performance is made possible with digital regulation/control that maximizes and smoothes power delivery to the extremely bright Cree 7090 XR-E LED. Variances can be expected with different power cell types and temperature but generally speaking L2D can crank out a lot of usable light to about 50 meters (your mileage may vary!). Other upside includes: fits in a military flight suit knife pocket, can function as a kubaton defensive tool, waterproof to IPX-8 standards, quality construction throughout, glass lens with AR coating, numerous included accessories (belt carry case, lanyard, o-rings, and switch cap cover), tactile click switch thats easy to manipulate in cold or loud conditions, flush mounted switch (allows vertical standing of the light for "lantern" use), well-culminated beam with no artifacts from the textured reflector, and some very useful accessories like a diffuser tip, wand extension, headband, and bike light mount (all purchased separately). It's these accessories that enable the Fenix L2D to replace many other lighting products and still provide the same or even improved performance. And all of this comes in at a reasonable price for the utility achieved. A reliable and tough lighting tool is a critical part of your kit and the outstanding Fenix L2D is a smart choice that will serve you well for many years. //////////////////// Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10 Related: fenix nitecore gladius streamlight foxfury surefire pelican mag pentagon tactical flashlights xenon cree luxeon led tlr-2 6p executive e2e e2l outdoorsman lumamax l1 l1e p90 defender strike bezel weaponlight iti petzl tactikka tacm illumination tools candlepower forums l1d l2d ld20 tk10 tk11 d10 d11 polarion dosun zebralight olights microfire hid muyshondt police lights |
