| Heavenly Sword for PlayStation 3Wed, 07 Jan 2009 16:30:54 -0800 by Fakk28Hello and welcome to another PlayStation 3 exclusive sneak peek. This time I take a look at an awesome game called Heavenly Sword.Heavenly Sword is a game in where you play as Nariko, a girl set out to protect her people and her father from the evil king Bohan. She wields a sword that is forbidden to use in battle, but she does it for the sake of killing Bohan. The Heavenly Sword slowly is killing Nariko, but yet she is determined to kill Bohan first before the Heavenly Sword kills her. Kai also helps along the way with her trusty bow and arrows and nible jumping skills to beat her foes. So they set out to protect the people and kill the King and his minons. Simple story really, but effective enough.The acting in this game is simply top notch and really sets the mood for the game perfectly and they used extremely precise motion capture movement on each persons face and body making a very realistic experience. The music is also really well done fitting each scene pretty well and the sound fx are also very nicely done. The controls are great making the game easy to play and you can do quite a few combos in the game by the time you reach the end. There is also the aftertouch scenes in the game where you use the sixaxis controls to aim the arrows you shoot, or to aim the things you throw to move them as they fly through the air in slow motion. Sounds lame, but really it is fun! At least it is for me.The game overall can be beaten pretty fast for 3D game standards. I beat it in about 7 hours or so, but that's long for me as I grew up during the old 2D games that were 20 minute play throughs and cost me $79.99-$199.99 lol, but, it has a HELL mode you can unlock after beating the game on HARD mode, and HELL mode is a bit more difficult. The game was simply stellar though, and IMO is worth the price of admission. I really enjoyed this game. I just wish I could beat the last guy on Hell mode. :) It is truly a fantastic game that I would recommend to anyone that likes hack n slash games like Ninja Gaiden or God of War.This game is in 720p native, has Dual Shock 3 rumble support, and Dolby Digital sound quality (along with uncompressed 7.1 PCM).NOTE: This is the true HQ 16x9 Widescreen version video. Be sure to check for more in the future to replace my old 4:3 versions!
