| Laochra Gael - Tony Doran 2 WexfordThu, 08 Jan 2009 14:21:43 -0800 by gaabeoTony Doran was born in Boolavogue, County Wexford in 1946. He was educated locally and first started playing hurling in the Nicky Rackard Under-14 League. By the early 1960s Doran was playing minor hurling with his native county. He won an All-Ireland medal in 1963, following a great win over Limerick. Two years later in 1965 Doran had graduated onto the under-21 side. That year he won another All-Ireland medal after a defeat of Tipperary. In 1968 Doran made his senior debut with Wexford. He subsequently won his first Leinster title, before later playing in the All-Ireland final against Tipperary. The game itself is remembered as one of the great reversals in hurling history as Wexford were behind by 8-points at half-time. Doran scored two goals in the second-half to clinch victory for Wexford and to claim his first senior All-Ireland medal. Poaching goals was his forte, his modus operandi was to soar high, catch the sliother and head for goal, which inevitably resulted in a net-shaker or a free. Two years later in 1970 Doran won his second Leinster title, however, a few weeks later victory went to Cork in a high-scoring, 80-minute All-Ireland final. For the next five years Kilkenny and Wexford met every year in the Leinster final, however, Wexford lost all five finals. In 1976 Wexford finally got the better of Kilkenny and Doran claimed his third Leinster title. In the All-Ireland final, however, Cork were victorious over Wexford once again. In spite of this, Dorans performance throughout the championship earned him the accolade of Texaco Hurler of the Year. In 1977 Doran captured his fourth provincial title, however, Cork once again accounted for Wexford in the All-Ireland final. Doran continued hurling with Wexford into the 1980s, however, by this stage Offaly had emerged as a new team to challenge Kilkenny. He never won another Leinster title with Wexford, and retired from inter-county hurling following the loss of the 1984 Leinster final to Offaly. It also introduces a young version of the first film's hero, Kyle Reese, played by Anton Yelchin. The film, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet. It abandons the formula of previous entries in the series, which involved the Terminator and various other characters traveling through time to protect or kill John Connor. Filming began on May 5, 2008.Terminator Salvation PremiseOn May 23, 2008, Warner Bros. released the following plot summary for the film. The synopsis was modified on June 11, 2008: Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind. Connor does not start as leader of the resistance but will work his way through the ranks in the film. He is also mistrusted by other soldiers due to his extensive knowledge of Skynet. McG said that it will be about the development of the Model 101 Terminator as well: scenes involve humans being captured and studied by Skynet in order to perfect their cybernetic organisms and Connor explaining "If we let these things go online, the war is over." He explained the film will "begin again very much in the spirit of what Nolan did with Batman," in that it will not require audiences to have seen the previous films, and that it is "a bit of a sequel and a prequel because it tells the story of how we got there".Terminator Salvation CastChristian Bale as John Connor: The battle-experienced leader of the human resistance, who is now in his early thirties, is waging war against Skynet after it has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. Director McG deemed him "the most credible action star in the world" during development. Bale was the first person to be cast and signed on for the role in November 2007. McG talked extensively with Bale in England about the role, and they both agreed to move forward. Bale is a fan of the films and liked the script and has signed on to appear in two additional sequels. He was at first uninterested, until McG convinced him the story would be character-based and not rely on special effects. They kept working on the story every day. McG said Bale broke his hand punching a Terminator prop during filming.Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright: A human resistance soldier who is discovered to be a decommissioned Terminator. His last memory is of being on death row, and Connor is unsure of whether Wright is from the past or the future. Terminator creator James Cameron personally recommended Worthington (whom he directed in Avatar) to McG. Russell Crowe also recommended him to McG. McG decided Worthington looked tougher than the "great many of today's [waify] young male actors". Worthington recalled Cameron told him "the Terminator to make is the one with the war". Worthington tore his intercostal muscles during the first weeks of filming, but nevertheless insisted on performing his own stunts. McG once expressed interest in casting Daniel Day-Lewis or Josh Brolin in the part. Brolin did talk to Bale and read a draft of the screenplay, which he found "interesting and dark [but] ultimately though I didn't think it felt right".Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese: A teenaged soldier and admirer of John Connor. | Indiana Zone and the Temple of Shroom (Widescreen Edition VOSTF) - Part 2 (Repost)Thu, 08 Jan 2009 13:54:28 -0800 by yanndick1984 -- Alors qu'un certain TEMPLE MAUDIT (TEMPLE OF DOOM en VO) attire les foules en mal d'aventure dans les salles, deux fans, deux étudiants américains d'une vingtaine d'année, John WARDLAW et Philip HAYNES, décident de tourner avec des amis les aventures inédites d'un aventurier qu'ils nomment INDIANA ZONE.On est alors encore bien loin de la vidéo grand public, et c'est en Super8 que le film sera entièrement réalisé pour un budget de 500 dollars de l'époque.John a accepté il y a quelque temps que je le reformate pour correspondre au format cinémascope de la saga ciné et que j'en fasse une adaptation sous-titrée en français (Même si elle est loin d'être la meilleure que vous verrez de votre vie ! lolJe reposte aujourd'hui les 6 parties pour qu'elles soient présentées au nouveau format de Youtube.Voyez bien toutes les parties. Et, surtout, allez jusqu'au bout du générique de fin : il est composé de prises « bétisiers » et autres « scènes coupées » genre bonus de DVD.Comme le dit John, ce film intéressera ceux qui aime tourner des films. Ceux qui cherchent un super script et de super acteurs peuvent passer leur chemin... Mais ils rateront de bonnes séquences !
