| Cheap headphones review: SONY MDR-XD200Sat, 22 Nov 2008 21:21:38 -0800 by DJCipster4BREAKSA quick review of the SONY MDR-XD200 headphones. Affordable, reliable (at least up to 1 year, in my case), and really good for monitoring/music production or just listening, with a frequency response of 10 Hz - 22,000 Hz. The 40 mm, long stroke, dome-type drivers with nyodimium magnets also put out up to 1.5 W of power. Comfortable to wear, with a convenient 11.5 ft. cord, and gold-plated stereo-1/4" plug included. Most important to take from this, ALWAYS look at the frequency response when buying new headphones, even 5 Hz makes a huge difference in sound quality. You want those that have as wide a range as possible, with enough bottom and top end frequencies included. | W3BBO's SST ...ROCKS 20m!Sat, 01 Mar 2008 18:48:47 -0800 by goathikerOn top of Mt Herman, Colorado with my FT817 (5w) and home made Buddistick I made contact with Bob W3BBO in Erie, PA. on 20m during 'poor' band conditions. He was using his recently built 20m SST (1.5w) to R5 vertical. Just proves it doesn't take a KW (or even a 100w) to get through with CW at the bottom of the solar cycle.
