Esperance TripTue, 02 Dec 2008 14:25:15 -0800 by PeterBuzzacottOur recent trip to Esperance was a great success and the Sanko Harvest was all I'd hoped; Big, deep, a decent swell overhead. Great fun, and a big thenks to the local shop and the local club. Related: scuba diving western australia

The ShaftTue, 02 Dec 2008 12:34:43 -0800 by PeterBuzzacottPossibly Australia's most famous cave dive, entry is via a manhole in a cow paddock. At midday a shaft of light like a huge laser cuts through the dark. Spectacular stuff. Related: scuba diving cave south australia

Hell's HoleMon, 13 Oct 2008 21:25:32 -0700 by PeterBuzzacottTwo teams dive alternate and pull-ropes. A 35m or so drop down to the water, then kit-up and away to go. Whilst awaiting for extraction a snake circled us. One by one we got pulled out, turning round and round as the snake circled. It's a great dive and a top adventure, near Mount Gambier, South Australia. Related: scuba diving cave south australia

Englebrecht's EastMon, 13 Oct 2008 16:35:44 -0700 by PeterBuzzacottOne of my all-time favourite caves. It has an air chamber, a long almost-vertical crack, a long low-flattener, this cave has it all. Now I've had a good look around the air chamber, next trip I'll spend more time in the flooded chamber at the end. Related: scuba diving cave south australia

Bakers and 1080Tue, 29 Jul 2008 21:49:09 -0700 by PeterBuzzacottTwo marvelous caves near Mount Gambier in South Australia that are not dived as often as some of the others. First, Gary arranges a tour of Bakers, lowering us down by tripod, then Grant shows-off the site improvments at 1080, and we even took a peak in the little cave at the back (we stopped at 39m depth). Marvelous how these really experienced guys spend their weekends showing new cave divers around. Thanks to the landowners too of course, as always. These two "bonus dives" were a highlight of our 2000km trip over from the west coast. Related: 1080 scuba cave diving adventure mount gambier south australia

Serpentine Falls Western AustraliaWed, 09 Jul 2008 17:39:55 -0700 by PeterBuzzacottTop little dive this, always used to find goodies in here, like watches, old coins, sometimes rings. Not anymore, since they build the new concrete access stairs. Good for getting in and out though. Last dive found a little cave at the back. Will sidemount a couple of seven's next time I go there and check it out. Lot's of leeches in here too so cover-up. Related: scuba diving cave western australia treasure

Blanch QuarrySat, 05 Jul 2008 05:12:29 -0700 by PeterBuzzacottThe PDRA are a marvelous group of keen divers who have purchased three quarries in North Carolina. You simply pay an annual membership fee and get the key to all three! And they are really friendly - I can't speak highly enough of this organisation. It's more than a club, it's a group of clubs, with cook-outs, treasure hunts, and camping. Related: diving quarry fish carolina scuba exercise pdra
