Who knows. Now we could be headed back to the polls late this January! There could be a coalition government with Ignatieff as PM! So much uncertainty but we can be certain not to trust Harper. I for one did not vote conservative because of the income trust lies but was still close to voting COn as the Liberals did not have a real leader. Now the Cons are taking advantage of the lack of Liberal leadership by attacking the other parties funding. Harper is a smart man and he is my Prime Minister and the leader of my country so I do have some respect for him and was willing to stand behind him. Now that has all changed! Harper started this mess and ripped Canada apart in the process. Now we head into troubling times with a political partisan war and no-one seems to care about the regular working Canadian except the Coalition - but who knows what Ignatieff will do! Troubling troubling times for North America and the World as a whole. What is happening in the USA come Jan 20-22 (With Obama in mind) Why was this created? Mr. Harper, my PM, is a very smart man. I believe so smart he would have seen the outcomes from his most recent decisions. Somehow he still gets voted in, now we face a possible coalition government that most Canadians probably do not want anyways, or an early election? We have had enough elections. What Canadians want is responsible leadership. What Canadians do not want is a confrontational egotistical maniacal ruler in charge who wishes every decision and action to be a vote of confidence. Currently Canada's opposition, the Liberal party, is in a transition faze with a new official leader Mr. Michael Ignatieff being only recently installed as the former Dion was ousted from within the party. Now arguments can be made for all three as possible leaders - Rae, Ignatieff and Dion. Dion I found to be impossible to understand and difficult to want to pay any attention too, although I found his decisions and arguments to be from the heart, and well I had belief in him as a leader. Ignatieff whom I have also met (all three) is someone who just creeps me out. He is an academic and a very interesting person who has documented his opinion on matters such as Iraq, Afghanistan and many many more current events - search his articles in syndicated columns on the net and you will see. All in all, I feel the recent events and the general confrontational attitude of the conservative government only shows the real chaos behind the chaos. My question is why do we need to force a majority government and why right away? The Cons here had to know that the measures against women's rights, taking away public funding for the two opposing parties who mostly receive the public funding opposed to the Cons who mostly receive corporate and business funding. - not to even mention the greens who would absolutely be destroyed as a result of such measures. Why? Why now? Why would Harper say that he wants fixed election dates, then forces an election, when he wins a minority government why would he then go against so many promises just to force an election? No. It is strategy simple strategy. The Liberal party Canada's official party really, is at an all time low. Israel selling Palestinians weapons, Georgia and Iran it is questionable as to what is really going on. USA recently had a missile test this is aimed at all the enemies of the USA even if they sell arms to them. Russia's new anti stealth tests are aimed at USA and Israel. Iran's tests are aimed at global insecurity. I purposefully left out the recent US missile test as I felt it is over played on youtube right now and is in my favourites if you have not seen it yet. USA supposedly paying $20 million to build houses for Russia's military - what the hell is going on in this world?One thing is for sure it is not a safe and happy world right now. The next country US invades may be Iran, they may wait until they do have weapons of mass destruction first though, they should know it is US tax payers money funding the Iranian nuclear program. I also included a short clip about digitally modifying news reports on 9/11 this is to contrast American claims Iran had "photo shopped" a fourth missile in the July tests.
